LG plunges into the market 'phablets': G Optimus Pro comes

When, back in 2011, Samsung opted to enlarge the screen of your smartphone to the absolute limits, no one imagined the money they generate new phablets market. In South Korea the play went right. The Note was so successful that not only launched its second part (the Note II), but also extended it further to the 5.5 inches.

Since then, there have been many companies that have joined the bandwagon of smartphones(THL W100) giants. And LG has been one of them. The technology has just launched its LG Optimus G Pro with proposing threaten the reign of his rival and neighbor.

The Optimus G Pro is a device that moves between the world of smartphones and tablets. It does, as noted, for its size, but also by the quality of your screen. Aware of the tastes of many of its users who increasingly consume media from devices such, South Korea has a strong commitment by this component: it is 5.5 inch Full HD IPS technology.

This, in practice, results in a user experience quite amazing, something that happened to his younger brother, the Optimus G, but this time, big.

The image stands out for its sharpness, contrast and vivid colors. High definition also shows a lot especially if you play a video in high quality.

Despite sharing almost the same name, the last terminal technology is unlike its predecessor and has changed many aspects of its design, which this time is a bit more rounded.

His aesthetic includes rear a grid of pixels in shades of black and gray (which partly reminiscent Google Nexus 4), and has a physical button on the front that G does not have. This component is illuminated by one color or another depending on what you are doing at the time the terminal.

In addition, the company has chosen to place the camera in the middle of the back cover instead of the upper left coer, and the flash and speaker on both sides.

But undoubtedly the most striking is that the terminal is no longer unibody. The Optimus G(THL W200) is complex to open even if they only want to change the battery. This does not happen with the Pro's casing can be removed with the fingers (just like the Galaxy S4). The Optimus G Pro has 9.4 millimeters thick and weighs 174 grams. In this sense, it seems that they had wanted to trace his great rival, the Note II, which also has 9.4 mm wide and 180 grams of weight.

Inside the terminal includes a powerful Snapdragon processor 600 QuadCore 1.7 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. It has an inteal memory of 32 GB, 13-megapixel main camera and a 2.1 megapixel front.

As for this last component, in addition to its generous amount of pixels, incorporates interesting actions like taking panoramic photographs, dual camera or pause recording and continue at another time. For its part, the operating system is the latest Android(THL W11 Monkey King), but Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

In contrast, the Pro offers several useful applications and features such as Remote Quick, Quick Multitask with Slide, Smart Share function or Smart Video, plus others like Quick Memo, Translater or Live Quick Zooming.
